Mark is said to be the first book of gospel to be written.

·         Its said to be the preservation of peters teaching.

·         John was not the apostle; he was disciple of peter and Paul.

·         Wrote to preserved peters teaching, wrote after peters death.

·         It was written after destruction of the temple at 70 A.D

·         Mark audience is unaware or not told, most likely roman audience

·         Virtually as all manuscript says “according to Mark”

GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MARK

AUDIENCE WERE MOST LIKELY ROMANS AS MARK WAS SEEN WITH PAUL IN ROME.

·         Mark was seen with Paul In Rome 1 peter 5:1

·         It is said to be 65-69 A.D or either 45-60

·          Most like it was written before 70 A.D before the destruction of the temple.

·         Destruction of the temple was a prophecy made.

Purpose of mark gospel

Its not explicit alike the audience. figure out through the content.

A proposal of 1901 famous critical made {not in use not correct but was influential – it referred to a messianic of Christ, Jesus told his people not to tell anyone -William Rada German scholar said it actually said peter inserted this line that Jesus was the messiah.

The more popular he became the more threat his disciple will had so he keeps it hidden until the disciple were prepared.

Mark present Jesus positively .and present Jesus as roman rival. Jesus’ royalty and king like nature.

THE WORD CHRIST DOES NOT ONLY WAS A TITLE AS A SURE NAME BUT IT ACTULY HAD MEANING THE MESSIAH THE ANOINTED ONE, IT WAS Related to either king, prophet, priest and the coming king according to the OT.                     

SON OF GOD WAS ALSO REFERED TO THE KING AND CAESAR. But until Jesus’s death no one called Jesus the son of God

V;13  Jesus public minister>immediately>Jesus started preaching the gospel of God. The time period of waiting is over.
