What is the meaning of Mercy?

Mercy: More Than Just Avoiding Punishment Mercy is often misunderstood as simply avoiding the consequences of our wrongdoings. While that's certainly one aspect of it, mercy is so much more. It's a compassionate, selfless act that extends grace and forgiveness, even when we don't deserve it. Think about those times when you've made a mistake and someone has shown you mercy.
