The Victory of Resurrection: Overcoming Death and Satan's Hold





In victory, Jesus rose again

Defeating death and Satan's reign

Through resurrection's mighty power

He triumphed in his darkest hour


For death and sin had held their grip

Their stronghold firm, their hold so tight

But Christ, in love, would not let go

And battled on with all his might


With every blow, with every breath

He fought the foe, and broke their hold

Till death itself was overcome

And Satan's power was bought and sold


Now we, with hope and joy and peace

Can face the future, free from fear

For in Christ's victory, we find

A love that conquers all that's near


So let us rise with Christ today

And live in power, love, and grace

For through his resurrection's might

We stand victorious in this race.
